we can treat melasma, treat sun damaged skin, and treat sun damage to the facial skin with a painless treatment that has visible results and minimal downtime.
Melasma is an extremely common skin condition, in fact you may have been at looking yours thinking it was in untreatable imperfection without even realising it actually is mild melasma. Although melasma is common in people experiencing hormonal changes, especially pregnant women even being coined the “mask of pregnancy”, melasma is most often caused by exposure to the sun. The result of this exposure is dark or brown patches on the skin, usually most prominent on cheeks, the bridge of the nose, the chin, the forehead and the upper lip, and is also common on areas such as shoulders that often see a lot of sun.
By utilising our state of the art Medlite laser technology, we can treat melasma, treat sun damaged skin, and treat sun damage to the facial skin with a painless treatment that has visible results after the first try.
Medlite Laser Facial treatment even doubles as an overall skin rejuvenation treatment, leaving you glowing with a more even skin texture than ever before. With some patients describing the treatment as relaxing, Medlite is the perfect pick me up for those who love a bit of beauty therapy. Before you spend another cent on creams, serums, or other products promising to reduce skin pigmentation, reverse the signs of sun damage or minimise facial freckles, drop into Ozmedica and see what Medlite can do for your skin.
How long does it take to see results?
Medlite has no downtime, so you could even sneak it into your lunch break (with a full face treatment taking only 45 minutes) and return to your day as normal. With the use of extremely short pulses of laser energy at a low and virtually painless setting, you’ll be happy with the simplicity of the treatment as well as the efficiency of the results. While older, deeper or darker melasma can take multiple sessions to completely clear, it is not uncommon for patients to see instant results after a Medlite Laser Facial treatment, and the results develop over a number of weeks as your skin cells naturally replace themselves, showing the treated areas and smooth, clear complexion.
What is the best treatment for Melasma?
These spots can sometimes be mistaken for age spots, and it’s not uncommon to feel frustrated at the irregularities in your skin tone that melasma can cause. When it comes to treating sun damaged skin, most of us are at a loss, with lightening creams doing little to help and requiring long periods of application to take effect. Unfortunately, it often feels like once melasma has taken effect, it’s quite hard to reverse the effects of the sun on our skin. However here at Ozmedica, we’ve found the answer.
How many treatments will I need?
On average, you may need 4–6 treatments to achieve optimal results.
