take the time to understand your medical history and provide you with
an overview of the doctors and their credentials. You’ll also have an
opportunity to review ‘before and after’ photographs of their patients’

Are there Risks?
Anti-wrinkle injections have an excellent track record. Well over 1 million
people have benefited from this youthful appearance-enhancing procedure with
allergic reactions being extremely rare. No major side-effects are
associated with anti-wrinkle injection treatment.
When will I see the results?
Results for your injection will start to take effect 2–3 days after the
procedure. However, the maximum effect usually takes
anywhere between 7–10 days.
How long does the treatment last?
The length of time anti-wrinkle injections last varies between individuals.
Generally speaking, results last anywhere between 12–16 weeks. Repeat
treatments are required when muscle movement and wrinkles return to the
area. We suggest treatments no later than 16 weeks after your last
treatment.
What is a unit?
A unit is a dose measurement of anti-wrinkle treatment. Your
required dose depends on the muscle location and desired
result. An injection may contain variable units of your anti-wrinkle
treatment. The stronger the muscle, the more units required. A
high number of units does not necessarily mean more injections.
What’s the difference between anti-wrinkle
treatments and dermal fillers?
Anti-wrinkle treatments relax the muscle and minimise movement. Dermal
fillers are a natural gel-like substance that is used to either fill lines or add
volume to your face. To achieve your desired outcome, we often
recommend a combination of both anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal
fillers.
Will I look frozen?
We like to see our patients look fresh, not frozen. When
administered by an experienced doctor, you should still be able
to show plenty of facial expressions but have fewer lines such as
crows’ feet or frown lines.
